In August, 2007, we loaded the Luvnest onto a ferry in Port Angeles, Washington and puttered over to
Vancouver Island. For almost four weeks we toured the southeastern quadrant of the island as far
north as Campbell River. We wandered among houseboats in Cowichan, saw goats living on a
grassy roof in Coombs, and watched Sheepdog Trials in Comox.
In the last few days of our stay we visited the capital city of Victoria. This charming city has a strong
European flavor and old world charm. We took an open-air bus tour through the center of the city
and out into the quaint outlying villages. Everywhere was bursting with colorful flower displays.
